We appreciate the commitment and leadership you dedicated to making auburn even better. This day will give the community the opportunity to "brag" about you. Word of mouth is often more valuable than professional advertising, marketing, and PR.

 

12:01 AM to 1:00 AM- Top of the Mornin' at Tim Horton's 458 Center Street.  Get a jump start on a great day.  Come and share a hot chocolate in front of the fireplace.  Pajama attire most appropriate- but don't forget your hat.  Free hot chocolate to children.  Yes, we really mean just after Midnight Friday!

 

All day - Revelation Massage will celebrate by raising money for The Good Shepherd Food Bank. Stop in and make a $1 donation into the box, and Revelations will match each donation with another fresh green dollar bill!

 

8:00 to 11:00 Center Street Cafe - special breakfast menu

 

9:30 to 10:00 Story time at the Auburn Public Library - Join local story lady, Judy D'Amour, program is best for children from 2 to 6 years. All are welcome.

 

10:00 to 11:00 At the Auburn Library Café- Have your little leprechauns join us after the Auburn Library story time for a free cookie and juice or milk.  The ALC is located on the lower level of the Library.

 

11:30 am Androscoggin Music Together is hosting a Free demonstration class at 439 Park Avenue. Come experience the joy of family music! (For children ages 0-5 with a parent or caregiver) 

 

12:00 to 1:00 Historical walk of Auburn sites, with an emphasis on businesses. John Henderson, author of Androscoggin Irish will be leading the group.

 

1:00 to 2:30 Rolly's Diner - Join us for a delicious, traditional corned beef dinner. Owners Rolande and Ken Blais will be providing a free Pot of Gold dessert with every lunch.  Lunch is served from 11:30am on.  Copies of Henderson's book, “Androscoggin Irish," will be available for signing and purchase

 

1:00 to Aprox 3pm - Lake Auburn historical sites tour. Starts at Sticks & Stones, 115 N. Auburn rd. Wear footwear suitable to the climate. For more information, email dan@auburnwatershed.org

 

2:00 to 3:30 - Woman's Literary Tour of the Foss Mansion on Elm Street. The Woman’s Literary Union will open this impressive home. Free Event

 

4:00 City Wide - Hat's off Toast to Neighborhood Businesses - Numerous places throughout the city, including the New Auburn Social Club, will raise a glass Auburn's businesses. Public dinner to follow at the Club.

 

4:00 to 6:00 Green Beer & Food at 84 Court Pizza & Restaurante .  Councilor Crowley will be hosting a Ward 1 gathering with everyone in Auburn welcome.

 

7:00 to Evening - Live Music at Gritty McDuffs Kora Temple Highlander's playing the bagpipes and drums!

 

There will be a "Hats" contest with a prize. In addition to the hat as an entry, participants will have to "Brag" about a neighborhood business.

 

11:30-11:59pm Last Call at the Fire House Grille. As we close out the day, come and raise a glass and share a laugh while enjoying a good Irish Whiskey or local brewed beer.

 

Suggestions and Ideas: Make sure to say, "We tip our hat to your business" as most businesses are using that phrase as a 'copoun code'. Also...,

 

Wear Green to Save Green - Some businesses are using "How much you are in the Spirit of the Celebration" as coupons. IE. Dressed all in green, 5% off, Speaking in a merry Irish accent, 5% off, and so on. Each retailer is different for the requirements for, if any, a discount on this celebratory day!
